Volunix Open Species Info/Lines

This is a Free to USE line base for my species Volunix.
~What you can do:
    Color in this base how you wish
    You can make freebies of them.
    You MUST direct link crediting me as the artist of the base and species.
    You MUST keep one of the two of my signatures on the image at ALL times.
    You may upload your own creations elsewhere.

~What you may NOT do:
    You may NOT sell adopts of this species or make a profit off it AT ALL in ANY way.
    You may NOT take credit for creating the species or this art. 
    You may NOT edit the lines of this base at add except to all the glow over the tail curls, ear blades and eyes (I use a separate layer for the glow). 
    You may NOT share the file with people.

The rules for this are simple and if you can't follow them then you probably shouldn't be looking on my page. I don't tolerate theft of any kind (be it happened to my friends or people I hate) at all.

They live in the arctic on a far off planet and will attack if they feel threatened. Their tail acts as a decoy for predators giving them time to attack with their horns or blades on their ears. They are usually very calm and loving. Many live on their own but there are groups of 6-10 that are called a troop. If there are 3-5 together at once those are called a pod (most families that have a hard time separating are pods). The most a Volunix will travel is 29 astronomical units (4.4 billion km or 2.75 billion miles) but most will stay very close to home. They like colder climates since they are mostly made of hardened snow and ice their ears have blades on them that are harmless when they are not threatened. The eyes, tail curls and ear blades all glow when on Earth and in the dark. However Volunix are able to 'turn off' the glow if they feel threatened. They have boots they wear on Earth so they do not melt or cause the ground to freeze over. Their tail is a tail mouth design but the only thing their tail provides beyond a decent distraction is the curls help Volunix keep at a proper temperature when off their planet or away from Earth's arctic. In situations when the Volunix are near death but still have fight in them their tail can and will come alive to help protect the Volunix and will stay alive till the tail knows that the Volunix is safe and recovered. Some stories have noted that they Volunix have been out 'cold' (lol pun) for at most 21 days with the tail protecting the Volunix. The colors on Volunix are determined by what season they were born. As info on that is currently being researched it is hard to say what season bears what colors. The colors they usually have are at most 8 colors and as little as 2 colors.
